We are seeking experienced system engineers for our cutting-edge efforts in areas related to image processing and computer vision. Successful candidates will be part of a systems and R\u0026D team that develops embedded camera and imaging solutions, as well as advanced algorithms for computer vision.\n\nResponsibilities: The job responsibilities may include a subset of the following:\n\n * Developing fixed-point implementations and C/C++ models for the image processing and associated infrastructure modules (to be ported in HW)\n\n * Supporting HW verification \u0026 SW development via behavioural model test vectors\n\n * Image processing algorithm complexity optimization and quality trade-offs\n\n\n\n\nMinimum qualifications:\n\n * Bachelors + 9yrs relevant experience, Master\u0027s + 8yrs relevant experience in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, and/or closely related field\n\n * Working experience in algorithm design and fixed-point implementation.\n\n * Strong knowledge in data structures and working experience with C/C++ programming\n\n * Familiarity with UNIX/Win/Linux computing platforms\n\n\n\n\nPreferred qualifications:\n\n * Background in digital signal processing, statistics and data analysis\n\n * Working experience with image processing algorithms. Background in colour science and image signal processor pipelines is a plus.\n\n * Programming skills MATLAB, Python\n\n\n\n\nEducational requirements: \n\n * Required: Bachelors in Computer science or Electrical \u0026 Computer Engineering\n\n * Preferred: Masters in Computer science or Electrical \u0026 Computer Engineering\n\n\n\n\nMinimum Qualifications:\n\n\u2022 Bachelor\u0027s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 4+ years of Systems Engineering or related work experience. \nOR \nMaster\u0027s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 3+ years of Systems Engineering or related work experience. \nOR \nPhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Systems Engineering or related work experience.\n\nApplicants: Qualcomm is an equal opportunity employer.
