We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Consultant in Critical Care to join our dynamic and multidisciplinary medical team. The ideal candidate must have a DM/DNB or Fellowship in Critical Care Medicine from a recognized institution and should possess hands-on experience managing critically ill patients in a high-acuity hospital setting. This role is integral to delivering advanced critical care services and ensuring the highest standards of patient safety and clinical outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert-level clinical care to critically ill patients in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), including assessment, diagnosis, resuscitation, stabilization, and management.
  • Supervise and lead the ICU medical team comprising residents, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to deliver evidence-based critical care.
  • Perform advanced procedures including intubation, central line insertion, arterial cannulation, percutaneous tracheostomy, bronchoscopy, and ultrasound-guided interventions.
  • Coordinate care with other specialists such as anesthetists, pulmonologists, cardiologists, nephrologists, and surgeons as per patient needs.
  • Manage ICU protocols and ensure strict adherence to infection control guidelines, quality assurance measures, and patient safety standards.
  • Participate in family counseling, patient discussions, and ethical decision-making processes for critically ill patients.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of all clinical activities, patient notes, and treatment plans.
  • Engage in regular clinical audits, morbidity and mortality (M&M) meetings, and contribute to continual service improvement.
  • Provide mentorship and training to junior doctors, ICU nurses, and allied health staff.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of hospital policies related to critical care services.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • DM/DNB in Critical Care Medicine OR
  • Fellowship in Critical Care Medicine from a reputed institution.
  • Minimum 1 year to maximum 10 years of experience in a hospital-based ICU or critical care unit.
  • Proven expertise in emergency medicine, hemodynamic monitoring, ventilator management, renal replacement therapy, and sepsis care.
  • ACLS/BLS certification preferred.
