Consultant-Senior Advisor

SUMMARY

We at Wadhwani AI are seeking a Senior Advisor who will help with technical expertise and strategic guidance to support the IndiaAI Mission across key focus areas, including AI ecosystem development, infrastructure enhancement, and indigenous AI applications. The candidate will lead the creation of scalable AI infrastructure, ensure ethical data governance for the IndiaAI Datasets Platform, and oversee AI solution deployments in healthcare, agriculture, and education. Additionally, the role includes advising on AI talent development, startup ecosystem support, and policy frameworks, ensuring responsible AI implementation aligned with national priorities.

Wadhwani AI is a nonprofit institute building and deploying applied AI solutions to solve critical issues in public health, agriculture, education, and urban development in underserved communities in the global south.   Oversee the development of scalable AI infrastructure and ensure it meets the evolving needs of innovators and aligns with national priorities.

  Lead the creation of the IndiaAI Datasets Platform, ensuring ethical access to high-quality datasets for AI research, while driving data governance best practices.

  Guide AI solution deployment in sectors like healthcare, agriculture, and education, integrating responsible AI principles to drive large-scale socio-economic change.

  Advise on AI lab establishment, curriculum design, and training programs to build a nationwide AI talent pipeline, especially in Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities.

  Offer technical insights for evaluating AI startups, support funding decisions,and guide promising startups toward scalable growth.

  Contribute to creating governance frameworks and ethical AI practices, ensuring fairness, transparency, and compliance with global safety standards.

  
  

REQUIREMENTS

• 12+ years of experience in Product, Engineering Backround
