Job Description - Content Marketer


Hippo Video is a cloud based video distribution platform that helps you easily create personalized videos and distribute them through multiple channels. We’re a fast-growing team of individuals whose interests are inclined towards building a global and innovative brand. 

At Hippo Video, you will be working in an environment where you will be guided by mentors who will not just show you the ropes but also give you enough room to learn and grow. Being surrounded by young minds bouncing ideas off each other and free food are definite pros as well. 

Content Marketer Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive content marketing strategy to support Hippo Video’s B2B SaaS offerings.

  • Repurpose and optimize existing content for use across multiple platforms and stages of the buyer journey.

  • Understand our target personas and the decision-making process in B2B buying to produce content that aligns with buyer needs and preferences.

  • Guide internal teams and other content contributors to ensure consistency in tone, style, and message across all platforms.

  • Creating concise, eye-catching, and innovative headlines and body copy

  • Researching and organizing facts and sources

  • Interviewing sources

  • Review content produced within the company

  • Consistently brainstorming and collaborating with team for new ideas and strategies

  • Building a following for brand on social media with creative work

  • Researching markets and industries to compare and create content that is innovative and original

  • Collaborating with campaign managers, creative team, and designers

  • Writing a wide variety of topics for multiple platforms (website, blogs, articles, social updates, banners, case studies, guides, white papers, etc.)

Content Marketer Requirements and Qualifications

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Excellent grasp of English language

  • Creative and innovative thinker and planner

  • Confident in producing work across multiple platforms

  • Able to align multiple brand strategies and ideas

  • Assists team members when needed to accomplish team goals

  • Able to multitask, prioritise, and manage time efficiently

  • Self-motivated and self-directed

  • 3 years of experience in B2B SaaS content marketing, with a proven track record of delivering impactful content that drives engagement and demand. Experience in the U.S. market is preferred.

  • Strong background in copywriting, both for short-form and long-form content, with a keen eye for storytelling and audience engagement.

  • Ability to work independently or as an active member of a team

  • Good interpersonal skills and communication with all levels of management

  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment

  • Familiarity with keyword placement and SEO
