The Controls Business Partner will play a key role in strengthening the organization’s risk and control environment by partnering closely with business teams to identify, assess, and mitigate operational risks. This role requires hands-on experience in risk management and controls, strong analytical capabilities, and the ability to translate complex risk concepts into clear and actionable insights for stakeholders. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable working across multiple functions to drive effective governance and decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with business leaders to identify control gaps, assess risks, and develop remediation strategies aligned with governance and regulatory expectations.
• Evaluate end-to-end operational processes to strengthen internal control frameworks and improve risk management capabilities.
• Perform data analysis and leverage tools such as Python to uncover insights, assess trends, and support informed decision-making.
• Provide guidance on control best practices, risk mitigation strategies, and policy adherence.
• Prepare and deliver clear risk and control-related documentation, reports, and presentations for stakeholders and leadership.
• Collaborate across cross-functional teams including operations, audit, compliance, and technology to ensure robust control implementation.
• Communicate risk concepts in a business-friendly manner and manage relationships across diverse teams and levels.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Direct experience in Risk Management, Operational Risk, Internal Controls, or Control Business Partnership roles.
• Strong data analytics skills; proficiency in Python or similar tools strongly preferred.
• Deep understanding of governance frameworks, risk methodologies, and operational control processes.
• Ability to analyze complex data and translate findings into actionable insights.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with expertise in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).
• Highly motivated, business-oriented, and forward-thinking with strong relationship management skills.
