We are seeking a seasoned Vice President – Corporate EHS & Sustainability to lead and drive the organization’s Environment, Health, Safety, and Sustainability agenda across multiple chemical manufacturing plants. This is a strategic, enterprise-level role requiring deep domain expertise in corporate EHS governance, regulatory compliance, sustainability frameworks, and large-scale plant operations within the chemical industry.
The incumbent will be responsible for designing, implementing, and continuously improving EHS and sustainability strategies that align with business objectives, global standards, and statutory requirements. Based out of the Mundra plant in Gujarat, the role will provide oversight and leadership to EHS teams across multiple manufacturing locations.
Key Responsibilities
Define and execute the corporate EHS & sustainability strategy across all manufacturing plants, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and regulatory obligations.
Provide strategic leadership and governance for environment, health, safety, and process safety management in chemical and process plants.
Oversee multi-plant EHS operations, ensuring consistent implementation of corporate policies, standards, and best practices.
Lead, mentor, and develop a large EHS team, including plant EHS heads and functional specialists, fostering a strong safety and sustainability culture.
Ensure compliance with Indian and international EHS regulations, statutory reporting, audits, and certifications (ISO 14001, ISO 45001, Responsible Care, etc.).
Drive sustainability initiatives including carbon footprint reduction, waste management, water stewardship, energy efficiency, and ESG reporting.
Act as the key interface with regulatory authorities, auditors, industry bodies, and senior leadership on EHS and sustainability matters.
Lead incident investigations, risk assessments, hazard identification, and emergency preparedness programs across plants.
Develop and monitor EHS KPIs, dashboards, and governance reviews for board and leadership reporting.
Support expansion projects, new plant commissioning, and M&A activities by ensuring EHS integration and risk mitigation.
Candidate Profile
18–27 years of progressive experience in EHS leadership roles, preferably in chemical, petrochemical, or process manufacturing industries.
