Job Description - Cost Estimation Manager (AESL)

Responsibilities











Strategic Roles & Responsibilities 

  • Coordinate with Centre of Excellence team / Engineering/ Project team to get technical details, Bill of Quantities.

  • Prepare & Review of Cost Estimates for TBCB Transmission projects which include 765kV, 400kV, 220kV & 132kV AIS/GIS Substations, Transmission Lines and EHV class Transformers & Reactors, Cost evaluation and arrange EPC offers.

  • Preparation of Cost for Major Items (i.e. Transformers/ Reactors, Towers, Conductors) based on Costing templates.

  • Float EPC Enquiries for Transmission Lines and Substations at bid stage, arrange technical discussion with various internal stake-holders for applicable cases.

  • Support to Business development in providing cost estimates for bidding purpose.

  • IEEMA Price Variation Calculations for Steel, Conductor, ICT/SRs, various Substation equipment & services. 

  • Getting Market intelligence for applicable cases.

  • Merger & Acquisition activities on techno-commercial perspective for Projects on applicable cases.

  • Explore opportunities for enhancing efficiency in estimation processes.

  • Develop & Maintain business specific standard cost templates and processes

  • Review the cost estimates with the actual value of procurement to understand accuracy of estimates

  • Follow standard templates for common items and input for any improvement required in templates.

People Management

  • Support team and assist junior team members in achieving their goals and improving their performance. 

  • Working with a team.

  • Handling interpersonal conflicts promotes collaboration and respect among the team.

  • Smooth communication with stakeholders.

  • Training needs identification of employees under him for team growth.



Qualifications









Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in electrical / supply chain management/ economics/ finance/ operations/ engineering, or a related area.

Experiences



  • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience.

  • Minimum of 5 years' work experience in cost estimation, purchasing management, buying, or commodity management.

  • Hands on experience on Microsoft office, IEEMA Software
