We are looking for a highly skilled professional to join our Sourcing & Logistics team as a Cost Management expert. The successful candidate will provide crucial costing support to sourcing teams, optimizing material costs through strategic cost reduction initiatives and effective management of inflation-related clauses in supplier contracts. Should be Techno-commercial expert with each part in Mechanical Proprietary, with a focus on A Class parts such as the brake system, ABS, suspension, forks, and radiators, among others . They should be aware of the cost of manufacturing, raw materials, and tools based on the current market prices.
Key Responsibilities:
Cost Analysis: Conduct in-depth cost analysis of components and materials, facilitating comprehensive scenario planning.
Supplier Negotiation: Negotiate advantageous terms with suppliers specializing in relevant components to secure cost-effective agreements.
Technical Advisor: Provide techno-commercial expertise to the strategic sourcing team during new product development (NPD).
Cost Validation: Validate cost sheets and manage cost cards for new and existing products.
Price Negotiation: Lead negotiations to obtain the best possible prices from suppliers.
Cost Reduction: Implement cost-saving strategies, including alternative materials and methods for manufacturing, to meet business targets.
Value Engineering: Collaborate with engineering, sourcing, and quality assurance teams to drive value engineering initiatives.
Data Analysis: Provide insights for sourcing alternative vendors, materials, and volume-based discounts.
Contract Management: Manage inflation clauses and risk in supplier contracts.
Variance Analysis: Monitor and address material cost variances proactively.
Team Management: Lead and develop your team, fostering a collaborative environment.
Ideal Candidate:
-A qualified professional with a B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical or Automobile Engineering, bringing
over 8 years of expertise in costing within the automobile and motorcycle sectors, especially with OEMs and ancillaries.
- Strong techno-commercial expertise with a history of successful supplier agreements.
- Strategic thinker with experience in cost reduction and risk management.
- Excellent analytical skills for data interpretation and deriving actionable insights.
- Leadership experience with a focus on team development and performance management.
