CPQ Developer (Camos)

Position Title: CPQ Developer
Reports to: Manager, Software Engineering

Primary Responsibility:

As a CPQ Developer at Maxcess, you will design, develop, test, and deploy applications that allow our users and customers to configure products we manufacture. You will work closely with business analysts and subject matter experts to understand the configuration requirements. You work to migrate configurators to a global platform.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

·         Assist business analysts in defining requirements for new configurators and updates to existing applications.

·         Analyze feature requests, research solutions, and provide recommendations for custom solutions.

·         Provide estimates of work, report progress, and be accountable for deadlines.

·         Able to work as an independent team member capable of applying sound judgment in planning and executing tasks.

·         Develop configurators in the Epicor CPQ (formerly KBMax) toolkit and maintain configurators in other platforms.

·         Test, debug, and troubleshoot new solutions and production issues.

·         Optimize and monitor applications to ensure performance and scalability.

·         Integrate configurators with other CAD, manufacturing, and business systems to improve efficiency.

·         Write clean, well-documented, and testable code.

·         Write unit and integration tests to validate deliverables.

·         Provide and receive feedback through regular code reviews.

Requirements

SKILLS AND PROFICIENCIES

·         Proven track record of creating product configurators.

·         Experience in JavaScript or other scripting languages.

·         Hands-on experience with JSON, XML, and ancillary technologies.

·         Ability to read 2D diagrams and 3D models and create configurators based on them.

·         Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

·         Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

BONUS SKILLS

·         Experience with CAD applications.

·         Experience in CPQ configurators like Camos and Epicor CPQ.

·         Familiarity with ERP software (Epicor, Oracle, proALPHA).

·         Familiarity with Salesforce CPQ.

·         .NET, Azure, data warehousing, or Oracle development experience.

·         Experience in the manufacturing industry.

EXPERIENCE

·         Bachelor’s degree in software engineering, computer science, or related industry experience.

·         5 years of software development experience and 2 years of CPQ development experience.
