*Responsibilities:*
- Perform comprehensive assessments and monitor the condition of critically ill patients using advanced medical equipment and protocols.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with physicians, nurses, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Manage and adjust ventilator settings, hemodynamic support, and invasive monitoring systems for patients in respiratory or cardiac failure.
- Respond promptly to medical emergencies, including cardiac arrest, sepsis, and acute organ failure, following established resuscitation protocols.
- Document patient progress, interventions, and clinical changes in real time using electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Provide education and guidance to junior staff, trainees, and family members on critical care procedures and patient conditions.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, clinical audits, and hospital safety programs to enhance patient care standards.
- Maintain compliance with hospital policies, infection control procedures, and regulatory requirements in critical care settings.
*Requirements:*
- MBBS or equivalent medical degree with a specialization in Critical Care Medicine (DNB, MD, or equivalent).
- Minimum of 2 years of hands -on experience in a critical care unit (ICU or CCU) within a hospital setting.
- Proven expertise in managing patients with sepsis, acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS), multi -organ failure, and trauma.
- Certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), and Critical Care Nursing (if applicable).
- Strong proficiency in using ICU equipment including ventilators, intra -aortic balloon pumps, continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT), and hemodynamic monitors.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and decision -making skills under pressure.
- Ability to work effectively in a team -oriented, high -stress environment with a focus on patient -centered care.
