Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Senior Technical Consultant – Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (D365 F&O) with strong hands-on development expertise and technical leadership capabilities.

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing scalable technical solutions within D365 F&O. The role involves technical solution design, development, code quality assurance, integrations, deployment management, troubleshooting, and mentoring technical team members.

You will collaborate with functional consultants, project managers, customers, and other stakeholders to translate business requirements into robust, high-performing technical solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with functional consultants to understand business requirements and deliver optimised technical solutions.

• Analyse business needs and translate them into scalable technical designs and development specifications.

• Design, develop, and customise D365 F&O solutions using X++, extensions, Chain of Command (CoC), event handlers, data entities, forms, tables, classes, workflows, and batch jobs.

• Develop and maintain SSRS reports, integrations, REST APIs, OData services, Data Management Framework (DMF), and Business Events.

• Work with the Power Platform Admin Center (PPAC) and relevant Microsoft Azure services.

• Prepare technical design documents, effort estimates, impact analyses, and deployment documentation.

• Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards, secure development practices, performance requirements, and technical best practices.

• Troubleshoot complex technical, integration, performance, and production issues.

• Manage Azure DevOps, source control, build processes, deployment packages, and release activities.

• Coordinate with functional consultants, project managers, customers, and technical stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.

• Provide technical support during user acceptance testing (UAT), go-live, and post-go-live activities.

• Mentor technical team members and promote continuous improvement in development practices.

Requirements

• 7–10 years of technical experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX and/or Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations.

• Strong hands-on expertise in X++ development and D365 F&O technical architecture.

• Extensive experience with tables, forms, classes, extensions, data entities, workflows, security, and SSRS reporting.

• At least 7 years of experience with SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS).

• At least 7 years of experience working with Microsoft Azure.

• Strong knowledge of integrations, REST APIs, OData, DMF, Business Events, and Azure services.

• Experience with the Power Platform Admin Center (PPAC).

• Proficiency in Azure DevOps, version control, build processes, and deployment management.

• Experience in technical solution design, effort estimation, code reviews, and performance optimisation.

• Proven experience in end-to-end D365 F&O implementations and production support.

• Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.

• Ability to provide technical guidance and mentor development teams.
