Role Description

Experience

8+ years of relevant experience in Data Analysis / System Data Analytics, preferably within Wealth Management or Financial Services.

Role Overview

System Data Analyst to support data-driven initiatives within our Wealth Management platform. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on expertise in Python, SQL/PL/SQL, and Azure Synapse Analytics, with deep knowledge of MS SQL Server databases. This role involves designing, analyzing, optimizing, and maintaining complex data systems while working closely with business, technology, and data engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze, design, and maintain end-to-end data systems supporting Wealth Management applications


• Develop and optimize complex SQL and PL/SQL queries, stored procedures, and functions


• Build data analysis, validation, and automation solutions using Python


• Design and manage analytical workloads in Azure Synapse Analytics (Dedicated & Serverless pools)


• Perform data profiling, data quality checks, reconciliation, and root cause analysis


• Translate business requirements into technical data models and system specifications


• Work with large-scale transactional and analytical datasets (client portfolios, transactions, holdings, performance data, etc.)


• Optimize query performance and ensure scalability across MS SQL Server and Synapse environments


• Support data integration pipelines and collaborate with data engineering teams


• Ensure compliance with data governance, security, and regulatory standards relevant to Wealth Management


• Prepare technical documentation and provide knowledge transfer to stakeholders


• Support UAT, production releases, and post-deployment issue resolution

Required Skills & Qualifications

Technical Skills

• Strong hands-on programming experience in Python (data analysis, automation, scripting)


• Advanced proficiency in SQL and PL/SQL


• Solid experience with Azure Synapse Analytics


• Strong expertise in MS SQL Server (performance tuning, indexing, query optimization)


• Experience working with large-scale financial datasets


• Understanding of ETL/ELT concepts and data warehousing principles


• Familiarity with Azure ecosystem (Data Lake, pipelines, security concepts)

Domain Knowledge

• Strong understanding of Wealth Management concepts such as portfolios, assets, trades, performance, risk, and client reporting


• Experience working in financial services environments with regulated data

Soft Skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills


• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders


• Experience working in cross-functional teams


• Self-driven with strong ownership and attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Azure Data Factory or similar orchestration tools


• Exposure to Delta Lake / Parquet formats


• Experience with data governance, data lineage, and audit controls


• Prior experience in large enterprise or wealth management platform
