About the Role
As the Data Analyst at IIDE, you will play a pivotal role in transforming raw data into reliable insights and scalable business solutions. Sitting at the intersection of data analysis and business operations, you will maintain accurate data across systems, build trusted reports and dashboards, and work with cross-functional teams to improve and automate inefficient processes.
This role requires you to understand the “why” behind business requirements, not just the “what,” and translate those requirements into structured, automated, and scalable data solutions. You will work across data modelling, database architecture, ETL pipelines, reporting, CRM data, APIs, and automation while ensuring the organization's data remains accurate, accessible, and dependable.
What You'll Do
● Data Management & Business Reporting:
○ Maintain accurate and structured data across platforms including LeadSquared, Zoho CRM, Google Sheets, Excel, and other business systems.
○ Manage recurring reports and ensure timely, consistent, and accurate delivery of information to stakeholders.
○ Build and maintain dashboards using Looker Studio, Zoho Analytics, Metabase, Power BI, or similar BI platforms.
○ Identify and resolve data discrepancies, anomalies, and root-cause issues instead of relying on temporary fixes.
○ Ensure reporting logic, calculations, definitions, and data sources are transparent and trusted by business teams.
○ Analyse operational data to identify patterns, trends, gaps, and actionable insights.
● Data Modelling & Database Architecture:
○ Design and maintain clean, scalable database schemas that support a reliable single source of truth.
○ Apply data modelling principles including normalisation, dimensional modelling, and entity-relationship design.
○ Make informed decisions around data structures, identifiers, schema evolution, and historical versus current data management.
○ Ensure referential integrity, consistency, and reliability across interconnected systems and databases.
○ Document data models, schema definitions, relationships, and architectural decisions for long-term maintainability.
○ Collaborate with Engineering, Operations, and other teams to ensure database architecture supports reporting, automation, and business requirements.
● ETL Pipelines & Data Orchestration:
○ Build, manage, and monitor ETL pipelines to extract, transform, and load data reliably across systems.
○ Work with orchestration and data integration tools such as Apache Airflow, Airbyte, Prefect, or similar platforms.
○ Use Python and SQL for data extraction, transformation, validation, processing, and loading.
○ Integrate systems and data sources using APIs, webhooks, and other integration mechanisms.
○ Optimise pipelines for reliability, performance, scalability, and cost efficiency.
○ Implement appropriate error handling, retries, monitoring, and alerts for production data workflows.
○ Proactively monitor pipeline health and resolve failures or data-quality issues before they impact downstream reporting.
● SQL, Analytics & Data Quality:
○ Write and optimise advanced SQL queries for operational, analytical, and reporting use cases.
○ Work with joins, CTEs, window functions, subqueries, aggregations, and other advanced SQL concepts.
○ Extract, clean, transform, and analyse data from relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, BigQuery, or similar platforms.
○ Perform data validation and reconciliation to ensure accurate downstream reporting and analysis.
○ Identify trends, patterns, exceptions, and actionable insights that can support business teams and management.
○ Ensure data quality issues are investigated systematically and resolved at their source wherever possible.
● Automation & Systems Improvement:
○ Identify repetitive, manual, or inefficient processes and recommend opportunities for automation.
○ Work with tools such as Make, n8n, Zapier, Google Apps Script, or similar platforms to automate workflows.
○ Support integrations between CRMs, databases, reporting platforms, and other business applications using APIs and webhooks.
○ Explore AI-assisted analytics, intelligent automation, and LLM-powered data workflows to improve efficiency and decision-making.
○ Build solutions that reduce manual dependencies while improving accuracy, reliability, and scalability.
● Additional Duties:
○ Collaborate with Business Operations, Engineering, Sales, Marketing, Admissions, and other teams to understand data and reporting requirements.
○ Translate business requirements into scalable data models, dashboards, reports, pipelines, and automated solutions.
○ Maintain clear documentation for data models, reports, processes, pipelines, and architectural decisions.
○ Continuously identify opportunities to improve data quality, reporting efficiency, system architecture, and automation.
○ Perform any other reasonable duties as requested by management, aligned with the broad scope of the position.
