Roles & Responsibilities:

• Define data architecture vision, strategy, principles, and standards.
• Translate business requirements into databases, data warehouses, and data streams.
• Develop standards for modelling, procedures, replication, regulations, and security.
• Establish design patterns for hybrid on-premises and cloud environments.
• Set standards and best practices for data and analytics products and define reference architecture.
• Design and develop high-volume data ingestion components and ETL/ELT solutions.
• Collaborate with teams to devise and implement data strategies, build models, and assess needs.
• Meet project financial objectives by forecasting resource needs and estimating timelines.
• Track emerging technologies and evaluate their applicability to business goals.
• Recommend data governance processes and security standards to support development initiatives.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 6-10 years of hands-on experience in building data engineering and analytics applications, with at least 3 years in a Lead role.
• Strong quantitative background in fields like Computer Science, Mathematics, Software Engineering, or Economics, with a degree from top-tier universities (IIT/IIIT/NIT/BITS).
• 5+ years of experience with data & analytics concepts such as data modelling, SQL optimization, ETL/ELT, reporting, data visualization, and data warehousing along with hands-on experience of general BI tools.
• Strong organizational, communication, presentation, and project management skills with a proven ability to manage multiple processes, people, and projects.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and develop engineering teams, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and technical excellence.
• Proven history of collaborating with developers, architects, and cross-functional stakeholders, and experience in implementing data lineage and metadata solutions
• Experience with data mining principles, predictive analytics, and strong SQL skills.
• Hands-on experience with AWS technologies (DMS, Athena, Glue, Lambda, S3, RDS/Redshift)and scripting in Python or any AWS-supported language.
• Working knowledge of designing architectures for large volume real-time data streams and component services.
• Expertise in data governance processes, privacy, security standards, and implementing data lineage.
