About the role:

As a Data & Tech Engineer, you will be an individual contributor working closely with our Product Development, Dashboard and internal teams. Your primary goal is to discover insights within our data sets to help us make smarter decisions and deliver better results for our global community of young readers.

Key Responsibilities: 

• Data Analysis & Insights: Perform regular data analysis to assess readership, identify content gaps, and track performance trends.

• Requirements & Implementation: Provide requirements for new data collection features and work with tech partners to implement recommendations.

• Data Integrity: Execute data validation checks and ensure overall data integrity across the platform.

• Reporting: Take complete ownership of Google Analytics and provide insightful reports to both internal and external audiences.

• Tool Development: Build visualization tools that allow internal users to interactively explore data and insights.

• Collaboration: Act as a bridge between the organization and other "data-for-good" communities.

• Education: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Market Research, Operational Research, or a related quantitative discipline.

• Experience: At least 2+ years of industry experience.

• Technical Skills: * Hands-on experience with Python or R and relational databases like PostgreSQL.

  • Expertise with Google Analytics.
  • Proficiency in data visualization platforms such as Tableau, Apache Superset, or Google Data Studio.

• Analytical Thinking: Strong ability to extract data and transform it into valuable, actionable insights.
