Data Engineer

Main responsibilities:

• Own and evolve the enterprise data platform architecture.


• Translate business and system requirements into scalable data models and data products.


• Define and enforce data architecture standards, governance, and best practices.


• Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance by design.


• Design data integration and pipeline architecture.


• Manage data lifecycle architecture and retention principles.


• Drive implementation of data strategy and governance frameworks.


• Act as the key liaison between business, IT, and data stakeholders.


• Enable advanced analytics and AI capabilities on the data platform.

Education, Experience and Languages:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
  
  
  • Proven experience as a Data Engineer or similar role of at least 10 years with additional of 3-5 years of experience as a Data Architect.
  
  
  • Demonstrated experience in designing enterprise-level data architectures and data models.
  
  
  • Hands-on experience with modern data platforms and cloud-based architectures.
  
  
  • Experience designing data integration patterns and working with APIs.
  
  
  • Good understanding of database technologies (e.g., RDBMS, analytical/OLAP, time-series).
  
  
  • Working knowledge of programming and query languages (e.g., SQL, Python).
  
  
  • Experience with Microsoft Fabric (e.g., Warehouse, Lakehouse, Data Factory, Semantic Model) and/or Databricks is preferred.
  
  
  • Experience incorporating security and compliance requirements into data architecture.
  
  
  • Certification in data management / architecture frameworks (e.g., DAMA, CDMP, CIMP, DASCA).
  
  
  • TOGAF or equivalent enterprise architecture certification is a plus.
