Data Engineer QA Testing

Job Title: Senior Snowflake ELT/ ETL Tester

Location: Pune, India

About this Role:

We are seeking an experienced Senior QA in the Data Engineering domain
to test ELT solutions using Snowflake and automate all possible workflows or
create utilities for automated validations. The ideal candidate should have decent
experience in script development and robust knowledge using Snowflake for ELT/
ETL testing, reporting, and analytics, and troubleshooting pipeline failures.

Key Responsibilities:

·       Ability to work independently in a challenging environment

·       Proactive communication and self -driving

·       Plan and execute ELT testing end to end using Snowflake

·       Design and test reporting and analytics using Snowflake

·       Demonstrate multiple data validation strategies that are available, and document
suitable options for the requirements

·       Evaluate automation possibilities wherever possible for data flow or
lineage validation, data accuracy checks and data integrity tests etc

·       Integrate automated tests in Azure Dev Ops CI/ CD

·       Create and test reports using Power BI and Snowflake

Qualifications:

·       Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Engineering, or
related field.

·       6+ years of experience in ETL / ELT testing.

·       Strong hands -on experience with Snowflake and Power BI

·       Scripting using Python and or C#

·       Hands -on experience in using Azure Portal and App Insights.

·       Excellent coordination and communication skills to work effectively
across time zones and teams.

·       Experience in triaging production issues and driving cross -functional
collaboration.

·       Knowledge of Agile methodologies and quality engineering best practices.

Preferred Skills:

·       Exposure to other tools like Apache Airflow, Azure Data Factory, Azure
Functions, Sigma (BI tool)

·       Familiarity with Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions for build and
test automation.

·       Strong analytical and problem -solving mindset.

·       Experience working in distributed global teams.

·       Ownership mindset, Excellent communications skills.

·       Proactively looking to optimize automation and testing processes.
