Job Description - Data Loss Prevention (DLP) Engineer
Key Responsibilities: \n\n * Manage and maintain DLP infrastructure, policies and procedures to protect sensitive data. \n * Monitor and analyze data flow to identify potential data loss risks. \n * Collaborate with IT and security teams to integrate DLP solutions with existing security infrastructure. \n * Partner with IT, Messaging/Collab, Endpoint engineering, and business units for change management.\n * Report on DLP efficacy: blocked exfil trends, top channels, repeat offenders, policy performance metrics.\n * Conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure compliance with data protection regulations. \n * Automation of exception process and workflows using Python/PowerShell/Power Apps etc.\n * Investigate and respond to data loss incidents and breaches. \n * Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in data protection and cybersecurity. \n\n\n\nRequirements \u2013 Skills, Experience and Qualification\n\n * Bachelor\u2019s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field. \n * Good knowledge of DLP technologies and tools (e.g., Symantec, Microsoft Purview DLP, Forcepoint etc.). \n * 3 - 5 years of work experience in IT Industry\n * Minimum 2 \u2013 3 years of experience in DLP or other similar platforms or tools\n * Familiar with information security industry standards, trends and emerging technologies\n * Knowledge on Cloud solutions (O365, Azure \u0026 AWS) would be added advantage\n * Knowledge in scripting and automation using PowerShell/Perl/Python\n * Ability to create As-Is / To-Be Process Flows. Identify changes to workflow / impact to workforce.\n * Document \u0027Solution Design Document\u0027, including process flows, business \u0026 technical requirements, and exception handling rules\n * Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. \n * Strong communication and interpersonal skills.\n * Ability to work independently and as part of a team. \n * Relevant certifications (e.g., Security + etc.) are a plus. \n\n\n\nApplied Materials is an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to diversity in the workplace.
