Data Quality Engineer

The Data Quality Engineer ensures that data across the organization’s platforms is accurate, consistent, well-documented, and reliable. This role focuses on implementing frameworks and processes to maintain high data integrity, forming the backbone for analytics, insights, and operational decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as a subject matter expert on the analytics platform, driving adoption and ensuring end-to-end data integrity.
• Collaborate with Product and Marketing teams to define KPIs and develop dashboards and reports tracking user engagement, feature adoption, and campaign performance.
• Implement and manage automated data quality testing and validation within ETL/ELT pipelines (e.g., dbt tests, Great Expectations).
• Perform in-depth data analysis using SQL and GraphQL to identify and resolve data quality issues.
• Own and maintain the data quality assurance framework, proactively investigating and addressing data discrepancies.
• Partner with source system owners and analysts to define, document, and enforce data standards and best practices.

Required Skills:

• 4+ years of experience in data quality, data governance, or data engineering roles.
• Expert-level proficiency in SQL for data profiling, analysis, and validation.
• Strong understanding of ETL/ELT development and data modeling concepts.
• Exceptional attention to detail with a methodical, data-driven approach to problem-solving.

Desired Skills:

• Programming experience in Python for building custom data quality checks and automation.
• Experience with cloud data warehouse platforms such as Snowflake.
• Familiarity with data governance frameworks and data privacy regulations.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field.
• 4–6 years of relevant experience.
