Define and interpret A/B tests that help answer critical questions about the impact of model and UX changes to our product.
Establish a data-driven product development culture by driving the definition, tracking, and operationalizing of feature-, product-, and company-level metrics.
Develop and socialize dashboards, reports, and other ways of enabling the team and company to answer product data questions in a self-serve way.
Deliver E2E Machine learning based solutions with measurable quality metrics meeting the business/customer need.
Ability to write scalable and quality scripts for data wrangling with a good understanding of the data in the context of the business process.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems or similar. Master’s degree preferred.
4+ years of experience using statistical computer languages (R, Python, SQL, etc.) to manipulate data and draw insights from large data sets is required.
Experience in working on real-world ML/AI problems and shipping the solutions to production with real business impact.
Work with large and complex data sets to solve a wide array of challenging problems using different analytical and statistical approaches.
Apply technical expertise with quantitative analysis, experimentation, data mining, and the presentation of data to develop strategies for our products that serve billions of people and hundreds of millions of businesses.
Experience with experiments, machine learning, anomaly detection, predictive analysis, exploratory data analysis, and/or other areas of data science on a large-scale product.
Experience with coordinating specific phases of data analytics (extraction, analysis, manipulation, synthesis, summary, validation, testing, and maintenance) with the objective of creating and building predictive models and algorithms is highly desired.
Knowledge of Python and SQL is a necessity.
Identify and measure success of product efforts through goal setting, forecasting, and monitoring of key product metrics to understand trends.
Strategic insights beyond the paradigm of statistical significance testing.
Partner with Product, Engineering, and cross-functional teams to inform, influence, support, and execute product strategy and investment decisions.
Good to have
Demonstrated prior experience in large language models or generative AI or open source AI models.
Strong programming background, with ability to run simulations and prototype variants.
Advanced data visualization experience is a plus.
Experience validating quantitative insights with qualitative methods (e.g. surveys, UXR).
Experience working in a fast paced startup environment.
