About the team:

The Individual Marketplace (IM) team supports people in the U.S. who need to purchase health coverage outside employer-based plans. It provides a seamless experience through Via Benefits, combining digital tools with licensed advisors to guide individuals—active employees, retirees, or those unaffiliated with an employer—through important health‑coverage decisions. IM helps employers offer greater choice, predictable costs, and reduced risk while ensuring individuals receive personalized, confidence‑building support throughout key life transitions. 

The role:

The Data Services Analyst is directly responsible for ensuring client data makes it into the system and that we are following proper controls and processes to be good custodians of the data. This position involves interaction with customers and/or business owners and quickly identifying the underlying problems and communicating resolutions in non-technical language. This position reports directly to the Data Services Team Lead.

This role requires working from our Kolkata office; applications are invited only from candidates who are open to this location.

Requirements:

• 1-4 years of experience using SQL.
• Hands on experience with Oracle PL/SQL or similar SQL procedural extension language is a plus.
• Ability to solve difficult problems in a complex environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication, time management, and project organization skills.
• Demonstrate excellent project management skills a plus.
• Demonstrate commitment to quality and continuous improvement with understanding of process flows, data flows, file layouts, data analysis and reasonable knowledge of query tools and languages.
• Attention to detail and follow-through. 
• Demonstrate a desire to learn and accept new challenges with a strong sense of urgency and ability to take ownership of driving tasks to completion. 
• Preferred industry knowledge regarding benefits administration or consumer directed accounts. 
• Ability to work in a team environment, with emphasis on communication within the team.
• Experience with file processing and ETL file conversions is a plus.
• US English oral and written communication is necessary.
