Data Tester

Role Summary:

The Data Tester ensures the accuracy, reliability, and performance of data systems through rigorous testing and validation processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and execute test plans for data pipelines, ETL processes, and data warehouses

• Validate data transformations, aggregations, and business logic

• Perform data profiling and anomaly detection

• Automate data validation using tools like PyTest, DBUnit, or custom scripts

• Collaborate with data engineers and QA teams to resolve issues

• Document test cases, results, and defect reports

Required Skills:

• Strong SQL skills for data validation and analysis

• Experience with data testing tools and frameworks

• Understanding of data modeling and ETL processes

• Familiarity with cloud data platforms and databases

• Attention to detail and analytical mindset

Functional Skills:

• In-depth understanding of Asset Management Companies (AMCs) and Capital Markets

• Familiarity with business processes across Sales, Finance, and Investment domains

• Strong grasp of how investor-level (360°) data is derived from scheme-level data points

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field

• 2+ years of experience in data testing or QA roles
