Object Technology Solutions, Inc (OTSI) has an immediate opening for a Database Administrator – Level 2

Database Administrator – Level 2 (Hyderabad)

Experience: 5+ Years

MAJOR RESPOSIBILITIES

• Install, configure, upgrade, and patch database software including Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB.
  
• Manage and maintain database environments across development, testing, and production systems.
  
• Perform database housekeeping activities including capacity planning, backup validation, and space management.
  
• Performance Optimization & Troubleshooting
  
• Monitor database performance and optimize through indexing, query tuning, execution plan analysis, and resource optimization.
  
• Troubleshoot complex database issues such as deadlocks, blocking, performance degradation, replication failures, and data corruption.
  
• Provide Level 2 (L2) support and beyond, handling escalated incidents and root‑cause analysis.
  

SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED: 

• Strong experience with Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, and NoSQL databases (MongoDB).
  
• Hands‑on experience with HA/DR architectures, database security, and backup/recovery strategies.
  
• Proficiency in SQL, performance tuning techniques, and monitoring tools.
  
• Experience working in cloud environments such as Azure and AWS is highly desirable.
  

QUALIFICATION 

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent.
  
• Higher education (Master’s degree or equivalent) is an added advantage.
  

CERTIFICATIONS (One or More Preferred)

• Microsoft Azure Database Administrator Associate
  
• AWS Certified Database – Specialty
  
• Oracle Database SQL Certified Associate (OCA)
  
• Oracle Certified Professional (OCP)
