autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen\u003e\u003c/iframe\u003e\n\n## In one sentence\n\nThe DB specialist have the ultimate responsibility of physical and applicative database administration activities supporting end2end life cycle of product from database perspective\n\n## What will your job look like?\n\n * You will provide database supreme level problem solving services to all stakeholders during project lifecycle (from Development till post production) by clarifying and addressing permanent and efficient solutions to complex and unusual problems\n * You will provide DB professional guidance and coaching to project management and development teams, implementation groups as well as customer architects - internal and external Amdocs customers, including stakeholders without database understanding.\n * You will design, develop, configure and administer large and critical database systems ensuring high performance and improve highly complex code where conventional approaches do not help\n * You will lead and define tuning database parameters (physical layout and memory buffers) and promote the standardization per product cross customers world wide\n * You will design strategy for DB working processes (e.g. backup \u0026 recovery) during project life cycle and translate and guide until implementation; you will lead and build team knowledge capabilities and versatility and personal skills variety\n * You will serve as Authority in Amdocs by advanced degree of competence, technology guru demonstrating extreme dexterity and knowledge as the result of rich experience and high aptitudes in DB areas, defining DB vision and strategy in the organization, serve as ultimate level of technical escalations for critical showstopper incidents in Productions customers systems with direct business impact.\n * You will be a consistent professional (you are the bridge builder, you set the example for others in to follow as it relates to communication, managing expectations, and building/growing partnerships). \n\n\n\n## All you need is...\n\nMust be a production support DBA with good in problem solving \u0026 analytical Skills, with hands on experience in following:\n\nIMS DBA experience: \n\u2022 IMS DB support experience with version 13 onwards. \n\u2022 DB Objects \u2013 Experience in creating and modifying DBD, PSB, ACB, FMT. \n\u2022 Experience with administration of IMS Full Function, HALDB, Fastpath databases. \n\u2022 Good knowledge on DBRC, Restore, Reorg, Load IMS DB. \n\u2022 Experience in database initialization, forward recovery \u0026 building secondary index and pointer checker, checkpoint restart, Fast path, DEDB etc \n\u2022 Strong Knowledge of Troubleshooting skills on IMS administration. \n\u2022 Usage of IMS utilities (including IBM, BMC) \n\u2022 Working Knowledge of RACF as it relates to IMS. \n\u2022 Working Knowledge of IMS exit points and routines \n\u2022 z/OS \u2013 TSO, ISPF, JCL \n\u2022 Tools \u2013 FileManager, ADBUS \n\u2022 Basic knowledge on VSAM,CICS, IMS DC\n\nDB2 DBA on Mainframe(Z/OS): \n\u2022 DB Objects \u2013 Experience in creating and modifying DB2 objects - Database, Storage Group, Tablespace, Tables, Views, Indexes, etc. \n\u2022 Experience with DB2 commands: - Stop/Start Databases, Display command, Cancel thread and Term \u0026 Display utility, others. \n\u2022 Hands on experience on DB2 utilities: Reorg and Runstat, Backup and Recovery of Table spaces (copy \u0026 recover), Repair, Load/Unload utilities. \n\u2022 Ability to bind/rebind the Plans/Packages and Granting required accesses to Packages/Plans/Collections. \n\u2022 Experience in Database Monitoring. \n\u2022 Experience in Database replication \u2013 IBM DB2 Data Propagator \n\u2022 DB2 administration - Strong Troubleshooting skills \n\u2022 DB2 privileges and RACF \n\u2022 z/OS \u2013 TSO, ISPF, JCL. \n\u2022 Tools \u2013 DB2 Admin tool, QMF, FileManager, Changeman, ESP.\n\nNice to have: \n\u2022 REXX development experience \n\u2022 Teradata experience\n\nCandidate should have: \n\u2022 Good communication skill \n\u2022 Provide 24X7 on call support on rotational basis.\n\n## Why you will love this job:\n\n * You will have the opportunity to work in a growing organization, with ever growing opportunities for personal growth and one of the highest scores of employee engagement in Amdocs.\n * You will be able to use your specific insights into variety of projects to overcome technical challenge while continuing to deepen your area of knowledge.\n * You will have the opportunity to work in multinational environment for the global market leader in its field\n\n\n\nAmdocs is an equal opportunity employer.
