Role
Summary:

We are
looking for an experienced DB2 Data Architect with deep expertise in DB2 Data
Modeling, Mainframe Database Design, and SQL Optimization. The ideal candidate
will be responsible for designing scalable and high-performing database
architectures, defining data models, and optimizing enterprise data
environments supporting critical mainframe applications.

Key
Responsibilities

• Design and
maintain enterprise-wide DB2 database architectures for mainframe applications.

• Develop
conceptual, logical, and physical data models aligned with business and
application requirements.

• Define
database standards, data governance practices, and design guidelines.

• Lead
database design reviews and recommend best practices for scalability,
performance, and maintainability.

• Analyze
and optimize complex SQL queries, database access paths, and data retrieval
processes.

•
Collaborate with Solution Architects, Application Developers, and Business
stakeholders to deliver robust data solutions.

• Support
performance tuning, capacity planning, data integrity, and database
modernization initiatives.

• Provide
technical leadership and mentorship on DB2 database design and optimization.

Required
Qualifications

• 10+ years
of experience in DB2 database architecture and design.

• Strong
expertise in DB2 Data Modeling and Mainframe Database Design.

• Advanced
knowledge of SQL development, query optimization, and performance tuning.

• Experience
working with large-scale transactional and enterprise data environments.

• Strong
understanding of data architecture principles, normalization, and database
design best practices.

• Excellent
analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred
Qualifications

• Experience
with Mainframe technologies including COBOL, CICS, JCL, and VSAM.

• Exposure
to database modernization and cloud integration initiatives.

• Knowledge
of data governance, metadata management, and data quality frameworks.

• Experience
in Healthcare, Banking, Insurance, or other large-scale enterprise domains.
