This partnership is a unique, industry-first model which brings together the best of in-house and 3rd party capability. \nWe work with customers across 28 countries from 10 VOIS locations: Albania, Egypt, Hungary, India, Romania, Spain, Turkey, UK, Germany, Ireland, and with a network of teams in Czech Republic, Italy, Greece, and Portugal.\n\n## About this Role\n\nWe are seeking an experienced DC Core Network Service Design Engineer to join our centralised Data Centre Network Design team within Vodafone Technology. This role focuses on end\u2011to\u2011end network service design for complex data centre and cloud connectivity projects, ensuring solutions align with Vodafone\u2019s group strategy, security zoning, and routing standards. The individual will work closely with architects, subject matter experts, project teams, and regional stakeholders to design scalable, secure, and future\u2011ready network services.\n\n## What you will do\n\nOwn and deliver high\u2011level design (HLD) documentation for data centre network service solutions.Design and support migration of services from legacy network environments to SD\u2011WAN, Cisco ACI, VMware NSX, and private cloud platforms in line with Vodafone security and routing standards.Analyse service requirements to create high\u2011performance, optimised, and resilient network designs.Collaborate closely with regional operating companies, IP\u2011MPLS backbone teams, and other design functions to ensure harmonised solutions.Forecast future capacity, availability, and performance requirements based on business demand and usage trends.Evaluate multiple solution options and provide clear technical recommendations.Support network service design and operational activities to enable service restoration and seamless connectivity.Manage design aspects of data centre network projects and provide timely, structured updates to stakeholders.Communicate solution strategy and technical concepts effectively in internal and global forums.\n\n## Who you are\n\nAn experienced network design professional with extensive hands\u2011on expertise in data centre network architecture and service design.Skilled in infrastructure and network automation using tools such as Terraform and Ansible, with working knowledge of Python, JSON, XML, Ruby, and YAML.Strong in routing and switching technologies, including IPv4, IPv6, OSPF, BGP, BFD, VXLAN, segment routing, and fabric\u2011based architectures.Experienced in virtualisation, cloud, microservices, containers (for example Docker), and DevOps\u2011driven delivery models.Confident working across international, distributed teams in complex enterprise environments, with fluent English communication skills.Able to lead technical discussions, influence design decisions, and present complex ideas clearly to varied audiences.Certified in Cisco technologies, such as CCNA or CCNP Data Centre, with hands\u2011on experience using Cisco Nexus platforms.\n\n## Not a Perfect Fit?\n\nConcerned you may not meet every requirement?
