DCACI L1/L2 Engineer

Network Engineer – Planning & Implementation (ACI & Data Center)

Location: Mumbai (Onsite)

Job Summary

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced L3 Network Engineer to lead the Planning & Implementation of complex Cisco ACI and Data Center network projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for high-level design, deployment strategy, and technical leadership across multiple customer engagements. This role demands deep technical expertise, strong documentation skills, and the ability to mentor L2 engineers.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and execution of Data Center network deployments and migrations, with a focus on Cisco ACI environments.

• Architect ACI fabric setups, VXLAN overlays, and integration with L2/L3 networks.

• Conduct design reviews, configuration audits, and readiness assessments.

• Translate business and technical requirements into scalable network solutions.

• Develop and maintain high-level and low-level design documentation, configuration templates, and change records.

• Provide technical leadership and guidance to L2 engineers during implementation phases.

• Collaborate with architects, server, virtualization, and security teams to ensure seamless integration.

• Participate in customer workshops, planning sessions, and technical presentations.

• Own troubleshooting of complex issues and escalation management.

Required Skills & Experience

• 8–12 years of experience in Data Center networking, with extensive exposure to Cisco ACI.

• Expert-level hands-on experience with Cisco Nexus switches and ACI fabric components.

• Strong understanding of routing protocols (BGP, OSPF), multicast (PIM, IGMP), and redundancy protocols (HSRP, VRRP).

• Experience in multi-vendor environments (Cisco, Huawei, Arista).

• Proven track record in network planning, change management, and implementation leadership.

• Deep expertise in ACI architecture: VXLAN, Tenants, Bridge Domains (BD), EPGs, Contracts, L3/L2 Out.

• Hands-on with Cisco Nexus platforms: N7K, N9K, N5K, N2K, N1K.

• Experience with Cisco ASR platforms (ASR 9K – IOS XR, ASR 1K – IOS/IOS XE).

• Advanced knowledge of Routing & Switching: BGP, OSPF, Static Routing, BFD, Multicast (PIM, IGMP, SPT), VLANs, STP, VTP, ACLs.

• Advanced Nexus Features: VPC, VDC, MEC, Orphan Port Management, FabricPath, OTV.

• Network Services & Protocols: TCP/IP, IPSec, PPP, HSRP, VRRP, IPSLA, SNMP.

• L4–L7 Services: Integration of load balancers, firewalls, and service chaining within ACI environments.

Preferred Certifications

• CCNP/CCIE – Data Center or Enterprise

• Cisco ACI Specialist Certification

• Additional vendor certifications (Huawei, Arista) are a plus
