Deal Editor

DealDunia is seeking a Deal Editor who will be responsible for evaluating and managing the deal content that appears on DealDunia. This position will work closely with the community's Admins and the members to ensure that we can deliver the best deals. The Deal Editor will have a mix of responsibilities ranging from deal curation and consulting other members, to quality assurance.

You will be part of a dynamic team in a startup environment where everyone wears a lot of hats, and we’re looking for someone who is flexible and imaginative too. You will need to be open-minded and able to evaluate not only what the community wants, but what the community needs, and even identify new opportunities.

Responsibilities Include:

• Ensuring that we have complete deal coverage on DealDunia.


• Finding new deals, categories, and offers for the DealDunia community.


• Supporting the community Admins.


• Ensuring that content is formatted correctly, with all the necessary information.


• Following procedures that ensure our deals are the best, including research and comparison guidelines.


• Managing categories and tags to match the needs of the community.


• Managing “Stickied” deals, and ensuring expired content is flagged quickly.


• Moderation of Forums to make sure a decorum is maintained, and that they are spam free.

Requirements

• High School Diploma; Some college preferred.


• Excellent in written English Grammar, and précis writing.


• Has published content online in the past -- could be a personal blog, articles on an online newspaper, content writer for a website, etc.


• Some work experience preferred, especially in the e-commerce sector.


• Well organized with a proven ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.


• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.


• Must have an understanding of online Forums, and have participated in them actively in the past.


• This position is available for full-time employment.
