Description
We are looking for a skilled and experienced Senior Developer to work on our retail client's projects. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in developing and supporting our client's applications, ensuring smooth post-production operations. With a focus on Databricks and SQL, you will be responsible for enhancing application performance and delivering high-quality solutions. This role offers an opportunity to work directly with the client, understand their unique requirements, and provide tailored solutions.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain efficient, scalable, and secure data pipelines using Databricks and SQL.
Collaborate with the client to gather and analyze requirements, ensuring a deep understanding of their needs.
Implement and optimize data processing and transformation processes using SSIS and Databricks.
Ensure data integrity and quality by implementing robust data validation techniques.
Perform application performance tuning and optimization to enhance overall system efficiency.
Provide post-production support and promptly address any issues or bugs that arise.
Work closely with the development team to integrate data engineering solutions into the overall application architecture.
Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies, especially in the retail domain.
Document and maintain clear and concise technical documentation for future reference.
Actively participate in knowledge-sharing sessions and contribute to a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

6 to 8 years of experience in software development, with a strong focus on SQL, SSIS, and Databricks.
Proven experience in retail client engagement and a track record of delivering successful projects.
Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a dynamic team environment.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with a keen eye for detail and a results-driven approach.
Proficiency in data modeling, database design, and data warehousing concepts.
Experience with cloud-based data platforms and an understanding of cloud computing principles.
Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and a willingness to adapt to changing project requirements.
Good communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively interact with clients and team members.
A proactive and self-motivated attitude, with a passion for continuous learning and improvement.
A relevant bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
