Delivery Director Travel Technology Platforms

What You'll Do

• Own end-to-end delivery of complex travel domain platforms across scope, timelines, quality, and risk
• Drive predictable execution with strong governance across SIT, UAT, and production readiness
• Provide technical direction on microservices, event-driven, and cloud-native architectures
• Lead cross-functional execution across Engineering, Operations, Product, and external partners
• Drive modernization of legacy platforms into AWS or equivalent cloud-native solutions
• Ensure production stability, SLA adherence, and incident reduction through operational excellence
• Partner with UX/UI teams to align intuitive user experiences with backend capabilities
• Promote AI adoption to improve engineering productivity and operational efficiency
• Build and lead high-performing engineering teams across onsite/offshore delivery models
• Establish governance for release management, change control, and production readiness

What We're Looking For

• 12+ years of experience in software engineering, delivery, or platform leadership
• Proven expertise leading large-scale distributed systems and transformation programs
• Strong hands-on knowledge of microservices, event-driven systems, and cloud-native architectures
• Backend proficiency with Java/Spring Boot or equivalent service frameworks
• Frontend understanding with React.js and modern UI frameworks
• Experience with REST APIs, Kafka/AWS EventBridge, CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and Kubernetes
• Solid grasp of AWS/cloud platforms, databases, observability, monitoring, and operational dashboards
• Demonstrated involvement in architecture and technical decision-making with credible technical depth
• Experience managing cross-functional global teams and complex stakeholder ecosystems
• Preferred: Background in travel or transaction-intensive platforms with strong operational mindset
