Job Description - Dell Boomi EDI Support Engineer

We are seeking a skilled and experienced individual to join our team as an EDI Boomi Support and Maintenance Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for providing ongoing support, maintenance, and troubleshooting for our existing EDI integrations implemented on the Boomi platform. You will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation and reliability of our EDI infrastructure, as well as resolving any issues that may arise in a timely manner.

Responsibilities:

• Provide day-to-day support and maintenance for existing EDI integrations implemented on the Boomi platform.

• Monitor EDI transactions, system performance, and data flow to identify and address any issues or anomalies.

• Investigate and troubleshoot production incidents related to EDI transactions, including errors, failures, and data discrepancies.

• Collaborate with internal stakeholders, trading partners, and Boomi support teams to resolve technical issues and implement solutions.

• Perform routine maintenance tasks such as applying patches, upgrades, and configuration changes to the Boomi environment.

• Analyze and optimize EDI processes and workflows to improve performance, efficiency, and reliability.

• Document support procedures, troubleshooting steps, and best practices for EDI support and maintenance.

• Provide technical guidance and assistance to other team members and end users on EDI-related matters.

• Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and updates in EDI and Boomi technology.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent work experience.

• Proven experience in supporting and maintaining EDI integrations, preferably on the Boomi platform.

• Strong understanding of EDI standards (e.g., ANSI X12, EDIFACT), protocols (AS2, FTPS, SFTP), and communication methods.

• Good understanding of EDI for partner ordering (PO) , Manual PDF POs, EDI for partner ordering (Shipping & Invoice) and Validation Service (Supporting Invoice) [850/855/997/832/810 +]

• Proficiency in using Boomi platform for EDI support and maintenance tasks, including monitoring, troubleshooting, and configuration.

• understanding of databases like Snowflake and SQL query language.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners.

• Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality of work.

• Boomi certification(s) and prior experience in a support role are advantageous
