Deputy General Manager

Key Responsibilities:

Project Management & Deployment

• Lead planning and execution of AMI (Advanced Metering Infrastructure) deployment projects, including smart meters, communication modules, and backend systems (HES/MDM).
  

• Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure project milestones, budgets, and timelines are met.
  

• Manage vendor relationships and third-party contractors for timely delivery and compliance.
  

• Monitor project risks and implement mitigation strategies.
  

Operational Management

• Oversee day-to-day operations and maintenance (O&M) of utility metering infrastructure.
  

• Ensure system uptime, performance, and availability for HES, MDM, and telecommunication networks.
  

• Manage field operations for installation, diagnostics, troubleshooting, and service restoration.
  

• Drive process improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and reduce downtime.
  

Technical Oversight

• Ensure smooth integration and functionality of HES (Head-End Systems) with MDM platforms and field devices.
  

• Collaborate with IT/OT teams to maintain data integrity, cybersecurity, and network health.
  

• Analyze system performance reports and implement corrective actions as required.
  

Business Management & Reporting

• Monitor and control project costs, invoicing, and financial reporting in alignment with business goals.
  

• Provide regular status reports, KPIs, and dashboards to senior leadership and stakeholders.
  

• Identify new business opportunities and contribute to proposal development and strategic planning.
  

Requirements

Key Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
  

• 7+ years of relevant experience in Energy, Utilities, or Telecommunication, with a focus on metering systems and operations.
  

• Strong knowledge of AMI, HES, MDM, and smart grid technologies.
  

• Solid understanding of project lifecycle management, field deployment strategies, and vendor coordination.
  

• Proficient in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, JIRA) and reporting systems.
  

• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  

• Experience in regulatory compliance and utility industry standards is a plus.
