Complexity of the role:
- This role requires the person to engage with the business, product owners to understand the requirements and map them to the solutions that are created or can be done in Salesforce ecosystem.
- The person will be engaged in delivering solutions on Salesforce platform with extended teams. Leads multiple vendors and delivery partners while ensuring adherence to governance, release management, and service excellence standards.
- The person needs also to look at the Salesforce release cycles and integrate them with the current/upcoming solutions in a seamless manner.
- Responsible for balancing business innovation, platform stability, compliance, and operational efficiency.
- Owns end-to-end product lifecycle for enterprise-scale sales platforms supporting distributors, field sales teams, retailers, and internal stakeholders.

What are the Key Deliverables in this role?
Financial Outcomes
- Drive measurable business value through digital platforms impacting distributor productivity, sales force effectiveness, customer coverage, and order execution.
- Collaborate with senior leadership, business stakeholders, and technical teams to understand business requirements and translate them into solutions in keeping with the application strategy.
- Optimize platform investments through enhanced adoption, license governance, platform rationalization, and operational efficiencies.
- Deliver strategic transformation programs within committed timelines, scope, and budget.
- Ensure realization of benefits from GTM transformation, automation initiatives, and digital modernization programs.
Customer Service
- Ensure high availability, performance, scalability, and stability of customer-facing and sales-facing digital platforms.
- Serve as a subject matter expert in defining business process, providing guidance and recommendations to technical teams and stakeholders.
- Improve distributor, retailer, and field sales experience through continuous product enhancements and process simplification.
- Enable business adoption through structured communication, training, change management, and release readiness activities.
Internal Processes
- Lead the design and implementation of Salesforce solutions and ensure it connects various downstream and upstream applications, systems, and data sources, ensuring seamless data flow and real-time communication.
- Own product roadmap, strategy and delivery for DMS, SFA, Salesforce-enabled business solutions and Distributor Lifecycle Management Platforms
- Prioritize product enhancements and business requirements based on strategic objectives, business value, and operational impact.
Governance & Operational Excellence
- Establish strong product governance, service governance, and vendor frameworks governance.
- Monitor platform health, storage utilization, license optimization, and architectural sustainability.
- Ensure compliance with DevSecOps practices, release controls, security standards, and audit requirements.
Stakeholder Management
- Partner with Sales, Finance, Supply Chain, Field Operations, Commercial Excellence, and Leadership Teams to align digital investments with business priorities
- Present executive updates, risks, decisions, and transformation progress to CIO, CDO, and senior leadership forums.
Innovation and Learning
- Promote self-service, process automation, and scalable digital operating models.
- Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, continuous improvement, and customer-centric product development.
- Regularly assess the effectiveness of existing designs, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to optimize performance and efficiency.
- Lead a team of developers, providing guidance, mentorship, and fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.

What are the Critical success factors for the Role?
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Advanced degrees or relevant certifications are a plus.
- Total experience of 10-15 years of Digital Transformation, Enterprise Applications, and Product Management
- Salesforce certifications (Salesforce Administrator) – Good to have.
- Proven experience managing large-scale FMCG sales and distribution platforms.
- Strong background in the delivery of large web-based systems, or complete software product lifecycle exposure
- FMCG/CPG/Retail/Telecom experience will be preferred.
- Must have excellent communication skills to work across multiple hierarchy levels within the organization.
- Strong understanding of project management nuances.
- Strong track record of delivering business transformation initiatives involving Sales, Distribution, Finance, and Supply Chain domains.
- Experience managing cross-functional stakeholders, external partners, and enterprise vendors.

What are the Desirable success factors for the Role?
- Certifications in Product Management, Agile, Scrum, Salesforce, or Project Management.
- Experience in large-scale GTM Digital transformation programs.
- Understanding of the Salesforce product suite, including Sales, Service, Community, and Community Clouds
- Strong business acumen in FMCG sales, distribution, trade promotions, and commercial operations.
- Ability to drive enterprise-wide adoption of transformation initiatives while maintaining operational stability.
- Understanding of product and business process understanding and ability to design scalable performance-driven solutions.
- Knowledge of data integration tools and experience integrating Salesforce with different business systems (ETL, marketing automation, reporting, etc.)
