Mission:

Responsible for developing energy yield and financial models for renewable and power projects to support bidding, C&I, investment evaluation, and project development.

Responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain techno-financial energy models for utility bidding and C&I projects.


• Collaborate with bidding, C&I, project development, regulatory, and investment teams for project-specific analysis.


• Identify optimal techno-commercial solutions for RTC and FDRE projects based on defined risk appetite.


• Maintain financial models and perform sensitivity analysis on tariff, capex, CUF, and financing assumptions.


• Support bid submissions and approvals through tender analysis, query preparation, and development of board notes and management presentations.


• Market research for the new technology, tariff trends, merchant market.

Job Requirements:

Required Attributes:

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering and/or Finance from a Tier-2 or higher recognized university.


•  2-6 years of relevant experience in energy modelling and financial modelling for power or renewable energy projects.


• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to develop data-driven insights.


• Ability to collect, analyze, and interpret quantitative data effectively.


• Good understanding of power sector regulations, including connectivity, charge sharing, and merchant market frameworks.


• Knowledge of and interest in energy markets, and a belief that well-designed models significantly improve decision making


• A great team player.

Desirable Attributes: 

• Master’s degree in finance or certification from a recognised institute.


• Knowledge of statistical analysis and/or optimization techniques for energy and financial modelling.


• Experience in utility-scale and C&I project proposals, with strong understanding of PPA and SSHA structures.


• Advanced proficiency in Excel, including project finance.
