Job Description - Deputy Manager - HR


Talent Acquisition cum Sourcing Specialist


Location: Gurgaon, India


Reporting: This position shall be reporting to Talent Acquisition Manager – Water & Infrastructure, Tractebel India


Your Job function: As a ‘Talent Acquisition cum Sourcing specialist’ supporting the Water & Infrastructure business at Tractebel Engineering, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the technical and leadership talent landscape of one of the company’s most strategic business units. You will be responsible for the end-to-end recruitment lifecycle, advising hiring managers, sourcing exceptional professionals and ensuring a seamless candidate experience reflective of Tractebel’s values and brand.


You will collaborate closely with Business Leaders, Department heads and Technical Experts to understand workforce plans, anticipate hiring needs, and deliver top-tier talent across engineering, design, project management, environmental, hydrology, and infrastructure development domains. You will act as a trusted partner aligning recruitment strategies with project demands, market realities and long-term organizational growth.


Key responsibilities include:


· Managing full-cycle recruitment for mid to senior level roles across Water Resources, Hydropower, Urban Infrastructure, Ports & Waterways and related engineering functions.


· Designing effective sourcing strategies using job boards, talent communities, networks, events, and targeted search techniques.


· Building strong talent pipelines to meet current and future business needs.


· Leading interviews, facilitating assessments, and ensuring structured evaluation processes.


· Partnering with hiring managers to refine role definitions, competencies, and selection criteria.


· Ensuring consistent, respectful, and engaging communication with candidates throughout the hiring journey.


· Leveraging recruitment analytics to provide insights, reports, and recommendations that improve efficiency and decision-making.


· Reinforcing Tractebel’s employer brand through every touchpoint with the talent market.


 


Profile:


· 5–10 years of professional experience in Talent Acquisition, preferably within engineering, infrastructure, construction, consulting, or related technical industries.


· Proven track record in hiring technical roles, with a deep understanding of engineering disciplines relevant to water and infrastructure in repect to the Indian Market.


· Strong exposure to sourcing scarce talent using advanced search methodologies, professional networking platforms, and industry-specific channels.


· Experience supporting large, multi-disciplinary engineering organizations or project-driven teams.


· Ability to manage a high-volume recruitment portfolio while maintaining quality and speed.


· Demonstrated proficiency with ATS systems, recruitment analytics, and digital sourcing tools.


· Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in HR, Business, Engineering, or related fields (preferred).


Language:


· Strong and excellent communication skills in English & Hindi.


· Ability to articulate Tractebel’s mission, values and project impact in a compelling and credible manner.

· Strong Communication & Stakeholder Management: Clear communicator with the ability to engage, influence, and build trust with diverse internal and external stakeholders.


· Problem-Solving & Pragmatism: Practical thinker with strong analytical judgment and the ability to simplify and synthesize complex information.


· Agility & Adaptability: Comfortable managing shifting priorities and working under tight deadlines in a dynamic, project-driven environment.


· Team Collaboration: Effective team player who contributes to a positive, collaborative, multicultural work environment.


· Proactive & Independent: Demonstrates initiative, anticipates needs, and manages responsibilities with minimal supervision.


Business Understanding"


Knowledge of Engineering consulting business in Hydropower, Water Resources, Urban Infrastructure Ports & Waterways in an Indian market.
