Job Description - Deputy Manager/ Manager - Mechanical Design

  • Responsible for providing technical guidance to the drafting team for MT, Sugar and FGD projects.
  • Review and provide support to the team on standard, customized and non-standard designs and resolve technical queries raised during drawing preparation.
  • Handle major pre-order engineering activities, including mechanical TQs, TL-to-TL confirmation, preliminary column sketches and sales drawings.
  • Provide support to drafting team in resolving engineering discrepancies/queries raised by Production, Project/Execution teams and customers, including support for customer complaints.
  • Provide training to new team members on drawing preparation, product knowledge, past-order references and engineering documentation in compliance with ISO requirements.
  • Maintain and control product standard drawings and support engineering standardization activities.
  • Support and gradually take ownership of MUS/intercompany engineering-support projects.
  • Act as a key second-level engineering resource supporting the AGM – Mechanical Design in day-to-day technical and team-related activities.
