Role Role purpose: Fixed Asset Accountant will be responsible for Vodacom Asset Accounting process. Key activities are Asset Creation/Changes, Capitalizations, Cost Transfers, Fixed Asset Register Review and Reporting, Performing the SOX Controls & KPI reporting and attending the local market calls. FAR Ownership for the Local Market Ensuring accurate & timely processing & reporting Query Handling from LM as well as external auditors Understanding of Capex accruals, Asset Retirement Obligations, IFRS accounting principles for Intangible and PP&E's. Performing SOX Controls of the APA process. Analysing the Capex transactions and suggesting process improvements to the client. Consistently achieving the KPI's. Should have sound judgement and be able to take independent decisions related to the process performance. Core competencies, knowledge, and experience Essential: Accounting Degree, SAP S4 Hana, MS Office, Italian Language proficiency is a must. Should be able to work independently and take ownership of the critical tasks. Experience: Atleast 5 years of work experience in Asset Management process of MNC preferably in Telecom or Technology company. Must have technical / professional qualifications: Accounting Degree, SAP S4 Hana functional knowledge, Effective Communication Skills Not a perfect fit?
