Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Design Civil Engineer to join our engineering team in Kolkata. The ideal candidate should have 8–12 years of experience in civil design, with a strong background in industrial projects. The candidate will be responsible for preparing and reviewing civil and structural designs, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring timely delivery of high-quality engineering solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and optimize civil and structural design drawings for industrial projects.


• Develop detailed engineering drawings, layouts, and construction documentation using AutoCAD.


• Perform design calculations and ensure compliance with applicable Indian codes, standards, and project specifications.


• Coordinate with architects, structural consultants, MEP teams, project management, and site execution teams.


• Review vendor and consultant drawings and provide technical inputs for design improvements.


• Support project planning by providing engineering solutions during design, procurement, and construction phases.


• Conduct technical evaluations of construction methodologies and materials.


• Ensure designs comply with safety, quality, statutory, and regulatory requirements.


• Resolve technical issues arising during project execution and provide timely design support.


• Maintain proper documentation, drawing revisions, and engineering records.


• Mentor junior engineers and support continuous improvement initiatives within the design team.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering (B.E./B.Tech). A Master's degree will be an added advantage.


• 8–12 years of relevant experience in civil design engineering.


• Proven experience in designing and executing industrial projects such as manufacturing plants, warehouses, factories, process plants, or infrastructure facilities.

Required Skills

• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD.


• Sound knowledge of RCC and steel structure design concepts.


• Familiarity with Indian Standards (IS Codes), National Building Code (NBC), and relevant statutory regulations.


• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.


• Experience coordinating with multidisciplinary engineering teams.


• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.


• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Preferred Skills

• Exposure to design software such as STAAD.Pro, ETABS, or SAFE will be an added advantage.


• Experience in value engineering and design optimization.


• Knowledge of BIM/Revit is desirable.
