Design Engineer Construction Plans

Requirements

• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and construction stakeholders to develop design concepts.
  

• Prepare detailed construction drawings using CAD and BIM software, ensuring compliance with building codes and regulations.
  

• Develop piping layouts, HVAC ductwork designs, electrical system designs, and other related construction drawings.
  

• Create and present design proposals to clients and project teams.
  

• Coordinate with engineering and construction teams to ensure feasibility and alignment with project goals.
  

• Conduct site visits for design validation, progress monitoring, and issue resolution.
  

• Select appropriate construction materials and ensure sustainability where applicable.
  

• Maintain accurate project documentation, records, and revisions.
  

• Stay up-to-date with industry trends, technologies, and regulations to continuously improve design practices.
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Building Design, or related field.
  

• Proven experience in architectural design, construction, or building design.
  

• Strong proficiency in CAD (AutoCAD, Revit, etc.) and BIM software.
  

• Solid understanding of building codes, construction methods, and technical standards.
  

• Excellent visual and spatial awareness with attention to detail.
  

• Strong communication and presentation skills to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
  

• Organizational and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects.
  

• Familiarity with project management tools and willingness for continuous learning.
