Designer - Electrical

About the Job:

Kent is looking for an experienced Electrical, Designer to be based in Mumbai office, who will have around 8+ years of relevant electrical design drafting experience in the field of Oil & Gas, Refinery, Petrochemical or Chemical sector with large EPC companies or Engineering Consulting organizations.

• ​Electrical workflow and interdisciplinary co-ordination 


• ​Project Electrical Deliverables 


• ​Project specific CAD standards 


• ​Project Risk Assessment 


• ​Adherence to HSE norms by self and team

Assist with as-building deliverables In addition to the responsibilities listed herein, the employee may be required to perform other ad-hoc tasks as needed or directed by the supervisor or management. These tasks will be within the reasonable scope of the employee's skills, capabilities, and role within the organization. The intent of this provision is to allow for flexibility and adaptability in meeting the dynamic needs of the organization, ensuring that operational requirements can be met efficiently. All such tasks will be assigned considering the employee's current workload and with respect to their professional development.

Your knowledge/skills, education, and experience: 

• ​​​​​​​​​​ITI /Diploma in electrical engineering.


• 8 to 14 years of design drafting experience in Upstream Oil & Gas, Refinery, & Petrochemical industry

Skills:

• ​Preparation of all design related deliverables such as BOM, Panel and Cable schedule, 3D model and model extractions and layouts, interconnection wiring drawings etc. 


• ​Input for drafting Area classification drawings and other layouts. 


• ​Follow CAD standards. 


• ​Preparation of calculations for Cable tray and trench sizing 


• ​Decide the substation layouts optimizing the size and design of the same along with the lead designer. 


• ​Preparation of all layout drawings ,3D models and MTO generation 


• ​Finalize installation drawings for each specific project. 


• ​Participate in project design reviews as required


• ​Perform inter-discipline squad checks. 


• ​Attend model reviews as per project schedule as required. 


• ​Site surveys and adequacy checks if required. 


• ​Perform technical audits and quality reviews. Site support as required

Communication:

• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English. 


• Ability to articulate technical challenges and progress effectively.


• Proficiency in remote collaboration tools and practices.

• ​Focused with good attention to details. 


• ​Primary interface for inter-departmental communication.
