Designer - Marketing & Creative

Who are you?

We’re looking for a highly experienced designer to join our team in Pondicherry who combines creative direction with hands-on craft. This role is ideal for senior creatives who want ownership, variety, and the chance to create impactful work with a UK-based team.

You’ll take ownership of exciting projects across digital, print, events, and campaigns - turning big ideas into bold, visually stunning assets across digital, print, and experiential design. Working with our UK marketing team, you’ll gain international exposure and the chance to shape the brand identity of a company at the forefront of healthcare technology.

What would I be doing day to day?

One of the great things about a scale-up is that every day is different and there is always an opportunity to get involved in something outside of your ‘BAU’!

However, the key things you could expect would include:

Creative Direction & Concepting

• Interpret abstract briefs and transform them into strong creative concepts, visuals, and campaigns.

• Apply design thinking to turn strategic goals into compelling visual stories.

• Conceptualise and execute creative ideas for email, social media, and multi-channel campaigns.

• Collaborate with the wider marketing team to develop original, insight-driven concepts that elevate our brand.

Design Production

• Develop high-quality graphics across digital, print, email, event collateral, presentations, and social media.

• Deliver projects through every stage: translating verbal ideas into visuals, developing and refining design, and producing print/web-ready artwork.

• Ensure projects progress effectively and meet design/production deadlines.

• Flex your creativity across multiple mediums, from static design to motion graphics, ensuring work is both innovative and fit-for-purpose.

Brand & Visual Standards

• Evolve and maintain DrDoctor’s brand identity, ensuring all output is consistent, professional, and engaging.

• Apply a deep understanding of typography, colour theory, and layout to ensure visual excellence.

• Introduce fresh ideas that push creative boundaries while respecting brand guidelines.

• Champion brand perception of quality and consistency across all channels.

OK, I’m interested. What experience do I need to have?

Essential

• 5+ years’ experience as a Graphic Designer, Senior Designer, or Art Director.

• Strong portfolio showcasing conceptual thinking and execution across digital, print, and campaign work (global brand experience a plus).

• Proven ability to take abstract briefs and develop them into compelling creative outputs.

• Expert knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) or equivalent tools.

• Working knowledge of Figma for product mockups and prototyping.

• Strong visual storytelling, typography, and layout skills.

• Ability to manage multiple projects independently and deliver high-quality work on deadline.

• Complete design projects from concept to delivery, ensuring artwork is ready for print or web.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for integration of creative assets.

• English proficiency: C1 or above preferred; B2 considered.

Desirable

• Experience in SaaS, B2B technology, or marketing/communications environments.

• Familiarity with motion graphics, video editing, or 3D design.

• Understanding of UK/European healthcare or public sector contexts.
