Desktop Engineer

We are Sisco Jobs, a recruitment consultancy based in Trichy, Tamil Nadu. We are hiring for the position of Desktop Engineer in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. The role requires an experienced IT support professional capable of diagnosing and resolving desktop, laptop, operating system, application, network, and end-user technical issues. Candidates should have strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to maintain reliable workplace IT systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Windows desktops and laptops.
  
• Diagnose hardware, operating system, application, printer, and peripheral issues.
  
• Provide technical support to end users and resolve incidents within defined timelines.
  
• Configure user accounts, permissions, and access through Active Directory.
  
• Troubleshoot LAN, Wi-Fi, TCP/IP, DNS, and basic network connectivity problems.
  
• Install and support Microsoft 365 and standard business applications.
  
• Maintain IT asset, incident, resolution, and service records.
  
• Escalate complex infrastructure or application issues to the appropriate technical teams.
  

Required Skills

1. Windows Desktop Support — Strong troubleshooting and configuration knowledge for Windows endpoints.
   
2. Hardware Troubleshooting — Ability to diagnose desktop, laptop, printer, and peripheral failures.
   
3. Active Directory — Working knowledge of user accounts, passwords, permissions, and domain environments.
   
4. Networking — Understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, LAN, Wi-Fi, and connectivity troubleshooting.
   
5. Microsoft 365 — Ability to install, configure, and troubleshoot common Microsoft productivity applications.

Work Experience Requirements
