Collaboration, Communication & Requirements
- Partner with team members and senior colleagues to deliver high-quality outputs within agreed timelines.
- Elicit, analyze, and validate reporting and insights requirements with leads, teams, and customers.
- Produce clear documentation and communicate status, risks, and decisions effectively to stakeholders.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to design and tailor reports and dashboards to business needs.
- Demonstrate flexibility to support cross-time-zone collaboration, including early/late meetings as needed.
Data Sourcing, Transformation & Tools
- Work with diverse data sources, including on-prem (SQL/Oracle/file-based) and cloud platforms (e.g., Salesforce, SharePoint, Azure).
- Acquire, cleanse, and transform data using fit-for-purpose approaches aligned to performance and reliability needs.
- Select and apply appropriate tools, technologies, and development practices for each deliverable.
- Develop and maintain data models by integrating relevant sources and defining consistent business logic.
- Design, develop, schedule, and monitor ETL/ELT pipelines, including incremental and full-load patterns.
- Implement operational controls for ETL jobs (parameterization, idempotency, error handling, retries, logging, alerting, and SLA adherence).
- Perform data validation and reconciliation checks; investigate and resolve ETL failures and data-quality issues in a timely manner.
Analysis, Insights & Reporting
- Communicate insights and recommendations through appropriate visuals, narratives, and supporting analysis.
- Analyze datasets to identify variances, anomalies, trends, and root causes.
- Recommend appropriate data volumes, refresh strategies, and caching/storage approaches to balance performance and cost.
- Support business reviews by summarizing outcomes and packaging reports into clear presentations.
- Own recurring reporting deliverables, including scheduled refreshes, access management, and ongoing enhancements.
Quality, Process & Issue Management
- Drive continuous improvement in solution quality, delivery efficiency, and stakeholder experience.
- Adhere to organizational standards and processes, leveraging guidance from experienced team members.
- Identify, document, and triage defects, bugs, and data issues; support resolution through to closure.
- Log, track, and communicate project risks and issues, ensuring timely escalation when required.
Knowledge Management & Transition
- Plan and execute knowledge-transfer activities, ensuring smooth transition and operational readiness.
- Maintain and leverage knowledge repositories to accelerate delivery and improve supportability.
