Your Role

As the Development Operations Manager and Assistant to the Head of Development at PixelMechanics, you'll transition from hands-on coding to a crucial management role. This position is ideal for a developer ready to take the next step in their career path. You'll be responsible for organizing and optimizing the entire Dev department, comprising international developers. Your role will focus on operational efficiency, resource management, and supporting the strategic direction of our development efforts.

Your Skills

• At least 7 years of experience as a Senior Developer

• Proven experience in leading teams of 5 or more people

• Strong understanding of PHP, JavaScript, CSS, and React development processes

• Significant experience in API integrations and low-level architecture design 

• At least 6 years of experience with Adobe Commerce

• Excellent project management and resource allocation skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills

• Fluent English Skills (spoken and written) are mandatory

  Nice to have:

  • Experience in AEM Sites, AEM Assets

  • Knowledge of HCL Software

Your Responsibilities

• Collaboration with the project managers to plan and optimize the allocation of developers across our projects

• Monitoring and improving the efficiency of resource management for the entire development department

• Ensure and adhere to accurate and punctual preparation of project calculations and estimates

• Identify potential technical risks during estimates and propose mitigation strategies

• Support code review processes to maintain quality standards and technical excellence

• Leading and shaping of continuous improvement initiatives and development processes in the development department

• Planning and coordinating the adoption of the latest AI tools and technological skills within the team and staying up to date

• Foster a culture of innovation and high performance within the international development team

• Assisting the Head of Development in strategic decision making and overall management of the department

• Facilitate a seamless and clear communication and collaboration between developers in different locations

• Motivate and inspire team members to perform at their best
