Job Title: Senior Functional
Consultant: Digital Manufacturing & Industrial AI
Job Overview: This role
requires the individual to assist manufacturing clients in plant digitalization
and Industrial AI initiatives ranging from asset performance and reliability
improvement, operational excellence, and smart factory programs to
implementation of plant-facing software platforms (APM, MES, EAM/CMMS,
Industrial AI/analytics) at a global scale.
He/she is responsible for front
ending with client business stakeholders, translating operational requirements
into functional designs, use-case definitions, and platform configurations.
He/she will be working closely with data/AI and integration teams to deliver
measurable business value. He/she should have strong analytical skills and the
ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of
information with attention to detail and accuracy. He/she would work with
cross-functional teams and business leads to ensure quality of deliverables,
manage risks or escalations, and seek support on roadblocks.
Job Description:
• Independently own end-to-end functional delivery of
digital manufacturing / Industrial AI workstreams from use-case discovery and
requirement gathering through solution design, platform configuration,
validation, go-live, and adoption
• Prepare functional specifications, use-case
definitions, asset hierarchies, and configuration workbooks; perform hands-on
functional configuration of APM and Industrial AI platforms with strong
knowledge of MES/EAM/CMMS systems
• Proficiency in mapping and analysing clients’
end-to-end manufacturing and asset lifecycle processes to contextualize
plant-level pain points within broader operational and supply chain frameworks
• Demonstrate ability to liaison between business
stakeholders and data science/engineering / IT-OT teams throughout the project
lifecycle, including definition of data requirements and integration
touchpoints with historians, SCADA, MES, EAM/CMMS, and ERP systems
• Validate AI/analytics outputs with business users, ead
functional testing, model output validation from a domain lens, UAT, and
business sign-off prior to deployment
• Align with key stakeholders (Plant Operations Leads,
Reliability & Maintenance Leads, Business Leads, Delivery Leads, and
others) on solution decisions, deployment plans, and adoption readiness
• Support change management activities to prepare the
client for deployment and adoption (super-user training, SOP and workflow
updates, operating model and organizational alignment, communications)
Must have:
• 6–8 years of progressive industry and/or consulting
experience in Manufacturing, Industrial/Consumer Goods, FMCG, F&B,
Chemicals/Process, Energy, or Automotive, with a primary focus on manufacturing
operations, reliability/maintenance, or plant digitalization
• Extensive hands-on functional experience (at least
4–5 years) in implementation or improvement engagements of plant-facing
software for Fortune 500 companies: APM/predictive maintenance, MES/MOM,
EAM/CMMS, or industrial analytics platforms including at least two full-cycle
deployments in a functional consultant/lead capacity
• Working and hands-on knowledge of best-in-class plant
systems and platforms e.g. SAP PM/EAM, Maximo, GE APM, AVEVA, Siemens Opcenter,
or equivalent Industrial AI/APM platforms along with working knowledge of ERP
maintenance and production flows
• Deep domain understanding of manufacturing and asset
management fundamentals, asset hierarchies and criticality, failure modes
(FMEA/RCM), maintenance strategies and workflows, OEE and loss analysis,
production planning and shop-floor execution
• Strong negotiation skills, good interpersonal skills,
and ability to work in a cross-functional global organization, engaging
confidently with US / European clients
• Strong stakeholder management skills & the ability
to work with remote teams
• Experience in analyzing clients’ processes and
operational/plant data to identify opportunities, develop insights, and prepare
a business case and value tracking approach to deliver transformational
projects within the manufacturing area
Good to have:
• Certification such as CMRP, CRL, CSCP/CPIM, or Six
Sigma / Lean Manufacturing credentials is a plus
• Exposure to plant data landscapes historians (e.g.
OSIsoft PI, Aspen IP.21), SCADA/OT data, IIoT platforms and to Industry 4.0 /
smart factory programs
• Working literacy in SQL/Python for data validation (not
model development) and familiarity with data visualization tools (Power BI or
similar); exposure to AI/ML and agentic AI-enabled manufacturing use cases is
an added advantage
