In the Global Products Group, we drive excellence in the design and engineering of Lam’s etch and deposition products—bringing cutting-edge innovation to solve the semiconductor industry’s biggest challenges.

The impact you’ll make


  • Directs a comprehensive product strategy from product conception and definition through end of life. Functions as a central resource with design, manufacturing, quality, test, marketing and distribution as the product(s) move through their lifecycle. Directs those involved in the design, modification and evaluation of all phases of a specific product or group of products. Formulates and executes long-term plans for cost/profit control. Promotes use of new technologies and industry-leading trends. Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.


What you’ll do

The Director of Product Management is a functional leader accountable for product strategy, roadmap execution, lifecycle governance, and cross-functional alignment across an Etch portfolio. This leader operates with a function/business unit perspective, drives complex programs through ambiguity, influences outcomes in a matrixed environment, and develops high-performing product management talent.

Candidate must have proven track record of:



  • Operating across abstract ideas/situations; providing strategy and direction; participating in global policy development.

  • Making decisions impacting function and related org operations/strategy; influencing in a matrixed environment. 

  • Being a change agent: drive change through clear and transparent communication; shape initiatives aligned to organizational strategy; supports teams through ambiguity; measure progress/risks and adapt using data insights. 

  • Clarifying vision and strategy; prioritizes efforts accordingly; scans market/industry trends to drive competitive advantage; integrates long-term thinking with day-to-day execution; applies financial/quantitative indicators to understand business implications

  • Preparing next generation of leaders through coaching, feedback, exposure

Preferred qualifications


  • Technical background - A Master’s degree in Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Data/Material Science or a related field, or equivalent work experience.

  • 10+ years of product management, product marketing, business development or product design experience. Semiconductor equipment and Fab operations a plus.

  • Strong organizational skills, with demonstrated ability to lead, set priorities based on alignment with business goals and strategic direction, define timelines and deliver to commitments.

  • Experience with Agile processes such as Scaled Agile Framework, Scrum, and Lean.

  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills.

Lam offers a variety of work location models based on the needs of each role. Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories – On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. ‘On-site Flex’ you’ll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. ‘Virtual Flex’ you’ll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.
