Gigamon is seeking a Director of Software Engineering for our Cloud-Suite team. The right candidate will build and lead top-notch engineering teams working on the design and development of test frameworks and automation, and solutions to enable customer adoption of Cloud-Suite including hybrid Cloud Deployments. Working as part of a growing, dynamic team, the candidate will thrive in a cross-functional team environment to achieve project deliverables and will have the opportunity to make a significant impact to the product lines.

Responsibilities:

• Lead all quality engineering efforts related to cloud suite
• Lead cloud automation solutions
• Lead and champion cutting edge CI/CD framework and processes
• Formulate and manage QA Goals, and drive strategy and execution for Gigamon Cloud Suites with customer success as the focus
• Work effectively with all stakeholders and engineers throughout the lifecycle of the product to deliver a competitive product with the right quality in a fast-paced environment
• Work with Product Management, Development, Technical Support and customers to define the product backlog, roadmap, test methodologies, deployment solutions and plans
• Hire, retain, develop, and motivate a world-class team of engineers to be able to produce cutting-edge competitive products
• Understand the product architecture/design, tools, customer deployment scenarios, and influence decisions to keep them cutting-edge and highly effective

Requirements:

• 15+ years of hands-on professional experience designing and developing Development and QA functions on Embedded systems and Public/Private Cloud
• 7+ years of hands-on engineering management experience delivering high quality enterprise software
• Working Knowledge in a mutli-cloud environment in two or more of these:
  • Virtualization: VMware, Nutanix
  • Private Cloud: OpenStack
  • Containers: Kubernetes running Public Cloud, BareMetal
  • Public Cloud: AWS, Azure, GCP, OCI
• Familiarity with automation and infrastructure as code toolchain e.g. Terraform, CloudFormation, Puppet, Ansible
• Familiarity with cloud cost management
• SRE/Cloud-Ops experience is a plus
• Provides direction, leadership, and specialist knowledge to the Solution QA team to assist in designing, demonstrating and deploying Gigamon Cloud Suites that address customer needs
• Experience with practices in Agile environment, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to manage across functional and geographic boundaries
• Experience in managing teams developing/testing software for networking protocols including TCP/IP and ethernet protocols
• Excellent written/oral communication skills and strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• BS (or higher degree) in CS or related field
