DM - Costing

Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

• Determine cost estimate targets during the design and development process, recommending cost effective solutions


• Establish cost estimates of production processes and review alternatives or put forward recommendations for improvement


• Assess cost effectiveness of products and track actual costs relative to budget and report status on a Regular basis to ensure costs are in line with forecasts


• Monitor and review data and information to detect or assess problems


• Investigate and identify cost reduction opportunities through BOM cost analysis and review mechanism


• Contribute to cost monitoring and reporting systems and procedures and monitor trends


• Prepare cost and expense statements, reports and other necessary documentation at regular intervals to support proper decision making in the business processes.


• Material cost savings validation through proper mechanism.


• Support Purchase dept. in sourcing strategies such as vendor mix evaluation and compare prices from different sources.


• Inventory reporting and controlling.


• Inventory analysis of slow and non-moving aging etc., giving scope for effective use of working capital.


• Inventory valuation.


• Liaising with Statutory auditors and internal auditors on inventory related activities


• Ensure monthly inventory and costing reports.


• Manage operations associated with Controlling, Budgeting and Costing.


• Handling Cost Audit


• Monthly MIS Inventory and BOM analysis  

Experience

Industry Preferred

Qualifications

General Requirements

• Should have experience in costing in the Manufacturing plant level activities.


• Extremely Strong proficiency in MS Excel, power point and other office software.


• Good working knowledge and hands on experience in usage of SAP.


• Good analytical and problem-solving approach required.
