Sr. Engineer/ Associate Manager-Mixing and Calendering

Sr. Engineer/ Associate Manager

This position is responsible for executing critical technical activities in Mixing, Calendering and RM development in the plant.

In Charge- Mixing, In Charge - Calendering

Main Responsibilities / Job Summary

• New compound development trial follow-up.


• To monitor and control compound and calendered fabric properties for Product consistency.


• Mixing/Calender SCADA analysis and report making and action plan


• Critical process parameters monitoring and controlling for product consistency and scrap control within budgets


• Machine industrialization trial follow ups.


• To maintain technology documentation - SOP, IPS, MSS etc.


• To carry all critical study in 4 Roll calendering and Mixing


• Scrap classification for compound and fabric.


• Dipped fabric & Polymer inspection.


• Process and product improvement trial follow up.


• To initiate cost/energy savings projects


• To initiate proactive actions to eliminate mistakes in process and scrap reductions.


• RM supplier audit

KPIs:          

• Compound and fabric scrap within target


• Extrudate FB viscosity compliance more than 95%


• Compound Rework generation within target


• Compound FTR compliance within target.


• New compound industrialization compliance as per plan


• Machine industrialization trials as per plan.

Staff reporting: 2 DAT’s / Jr. supervisors, 1 Asst. Officer

Skills

• Must be skilled to set up mixing recipe (batch size, sequence, process parameters etc.) independently.


• Problem solving methodology

• Good presentation and communication skill

Qualifications

BE / B Tech(Polymer Sc./Mechanical/Chemical/Rubber Technology)

Special Requirement

• Exposure to SAP


• Skilled in MS office and Power point
