  • Creating and maintaining technical standards, policies, and procedures to ensure smooth and error-free operations.

  • Participating in Purple Team, Threat Hunt, and cyber security tabletop exercises.
  • Supporting regular security control assessments validating configuration effectiveness and closing gaps discovered during incidents or hunts
  • Promoting an environment of collaboration and individual accountability when it comes to problem-solving, decision-making, and process improvements

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Three or more years of relevant experience required, demonstrated through work experience and/or military experience.
  • Two or more years of experience engineering and managing high-availability network services, including Linux administration, DNS management (Infoblox, IPControl, BIND), and the implementation of Server Load Balancing and Global Server Load Balancing solutions (Citrix / F5).
  • Two or more years  of hands-on experience utilizing Python and Bash scripting to automate network administration, streamline repetitive configuration tasks, and enhance the scalability of network infrastructure.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • Expert in leading end-to-end digital transformations and hybrid-cloud connectivity (AWS, Azure, GCP), specializing in high-availability (HA), disaster recovery (DR), and resilient application delivery.
  • Deep expertise in building CI/CD pipelines for network infrastructure using Python, Go, and Ansible to automate lifecycle management and configuration auditing.
  • Experienced in deploying ML-powered AIOps platforms for predictive monitoring, automated anomaly detection, and self-healing recovery workflows.
  • Advanced knowledge of securing management traffic and data-in-transit via Next-Gen Firewalls (NGFW), Proxies, VPNs, and robust encryption standards (IPsec, TLS).
  • Senior-level proficiency in UNIX/Linux environments and a mastery of core industry standards including TCP/IP, HTTP/S, and IAM frameworks.
  • Strong alignment with NIST, ISO 27001, and CIS benchmarks to ensure security integrity across cloud-native and hybrid environments.
  • Industry Certifications: CISSP, CCSP, CCIE Security, CCE-N, or equivalent expert-level cloud networking credentials.

If Verizon and this role sound like a fit for you, we encourage you to apply even if you don’t meet every “even better” qualification listed above.
